UPDATE: Something to consider when considering a mini crib

Based on the traffic to this site, it seems a lot you are entering the web world with questions about the mini crib.  A few months ago, I wrote a post about Little Aiden’s rapid growth and how he [wasn't] fitting in his mini.  Now that he’s 14 months old, it seems like the right time to update you on that whole situation.

The simple answer:  He’s already outgrown his crib and is sleeping in a toddler bed.

He’s still really young, so I bought him a sturdy bed rail as an added precaution.  He knows how to get in and out of his new bed, but this prevents him from rolling out of it in the middle of the night.
I really liked the mini crib because it looked like an ordinary crib, but it was small enough to fit in our room when he was still a newborn.  What I didn’t like about the mini crib was getting rid of it only a year after he was born.  And if we hadn’t kept his big brother’s old toddler bed, then we would have had to buy a new bed for him.
So again, something to consider, mommies and daddies, if you’re considering a mini for your little one.  [Or in my case, long one.]
